Experiencing Technological Difficulties....beeeeep!
Sigh.....still having computer problems. I've known for a little bit that I need a new computer. But funds prevent such a luxury as I'm sure a lot of you know. I've been unable to save photos and such, even after "cleaning" up my hard drive. Which is kinda sad because I've actually been scrapping furiously and would like to post pics of what I've been up to. I'm ahead in my scrapping schedule, so to speak... Finished up the first project for the Scraps of Color "That's Alterable Challenge," although with the technical difficulties I've somehow lost the pictures of the first altered project - went ahead and did project two which is to alter toilet paper rolls, although it's not due to be posted until February, completed two other projects for the "Pay it Forward Challenge" and made a bunch of cards. Gonna try a few more trouble shooting strategies and see what I can come up with before I beg my son to take a look. (I'm only trying to clean up the problem myself because my son - the computer engineer - says that I don't bother to take the time to figure it out for myself....tsk, tsk ...who taught him to be so dang nervy???). Hoping to post pics soon...so please, drop by again.
Much love,
Hugs+Kisses

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
ATTENTION, ATTENTION, ATTENTION....SEEMS LIKE THE COMPUTER LOVES ME AGAIN. AT LEAST FOR THE MOMENT. THIS IS THE FIRST PROJECT FOR THE "THAT'S ALTERABLE CHALLENGE" OF 2013. THE SOAP BOX WAS CUT OPEN FROM THE LONG SIDE, ADDED PATTERNED PAPER TO CHIPBOARD ON INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, AND A SIMPLE KNOT BOW OF BROWN RIBBON. I THEN MADE A MINI MEMORY BOOK USING COIN ENVELOPES, BINDED WITH MY BIND-IT-ALL MACHINE, ADDED A BUTTERFLY, COUPLE OF MULBERRY WHITE ROSES AND AGAIN, A SIMPLE BOW OF BROWN RIBBON. WHAT DO YOU THINK? I REALLY LIKE HOW IT TURNED OUT AND THE COLORS I CHOSE. I HAD AN EMPTY CIGARETTE PACK LAYING ON MY DESK....I HAD MORE SCRAPS OF PAPER...THEREFORE, I DECIDED TO COVER THAT AND ENCLOSE A CUTE LITTLE BOOK TO THAT TOO. CUTE HUH?
THANKS FOR LOOKING.

Forced to Scrap
Hello happy scrappy people!
Just as I promised myself...I'm making a post. Short, sweet, and to the point. I jumped right in with monthly alter projects over at SOC. That's the great thing about SOC...the divas force me to continue crafting. Not that I'm complaining. Haha. It was a quick and fun project. So much fun that I kept going and created several other things with the other boxes that I'd collected. I'll have to post pictures of everything when my computer decides to stop betraying me....sigh, it won't let me save any new photos...ugh. Hope to do that before weekend is over. Wish me luck.

Hey there friends:
I'm tryin'....to at least post something, anything to my blog at least once a week. It may be with pictures...may be without pics....just trying to keep something going so that I can keep up with it. So bear with me y'all! I'm still such a novice with blogging....sigh.
Anyway, over at http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/, I've joined a couple of monthly challenges. Whoohooo for me...my mojo ran away for a bit, but it's back. So I've entered into a couple of crafty challenges to keep mojo happy. The first challenge is the http://scrapsofcolor.ning.com/events/that-s-alterable-challenge-2013. (We'll talk about the other challenge in another post)
This challenge hostess will name an item to be altered each month...such as a wine bottle, flip flops, or a cigar box. Get the picture? You can sign up to do one month, several months or participate the entire year. Cool right? For the first month, we are to alter a soap box. Yup, you heard me...a soap box like the ones pictured below. I haven't come up with any cleverly creative ideas yet, but I've got time. So I hope that you will check back sometime during the month and see what I've created. This is gonna be fun!

I'm Baaaaaaaaack (again)
Supplies used:
Acrylic paint
background stamps
rub ons
stickers
Copic markers
book pages
patterned paper
ModPodge
I know, I know....been forever since I wrote a post or posted a picture of anything crafty or just wrote a quick note! Shame on me....(sigh)
However, I've been going thru some things that have been really weighing heavily on me and needed to just "get it together." Things are so much better now, Praise God! Of course the problems haven't gone completely away. But I have a much better handle on them now...so again, all thanks to the Lord for that!
So, I've been doing a little bit of crafting. Not a lot in the past four months, but I did get inspired with the goodness that I was feeling when I "let go and let God". Which always seems to lead to SheArt. These are a few (yup, did about six of 'em in two nights). I haven't added titles to them yet, because of course - every printer in the house wants to give me a hard way to go and break down or just not cooperate with me...haha. Anyway, take a look and leave a comment if you wish. They're always welcome.
Now, if anyone out there knows and can give me tips on how to keep up with a blog??? HELP ME. Suggestions are verrrrrrry welcome on how you manage to make time to make posts in a consistent manner that will keep visitors and followers interested!? I really want to keep up with it...but with LIFE...aaaah, sigh....
Anyway, Thanks for stopping by......nice to see you again!

Sing A Song Challenge
Hey there sistah-Divas!
Well, like always, too much time has passed since my last post. But there was a conversation about blogging that made me remember to post something today. Thanks ladies of SOC!!! So here goes...
These images are by the master-Artist Robert Jackson. The are "I Ain't One to Gossip-IV" and "Party Over Here!" We were given the challenge to use one of his images that invokes a song. Brilliant! I ended up making several cards because songs popped into my head all night - haha. They were colored using Copic, Prisma and Bic markers.
Please comment. Hope you enjoy!

Hello scrappy friends!
It's been a little while. Like always, life just seems to get in the way of having some time to myself and trying to faithfully keep up with this blog. Plus, with all of the many crazy, busy, little things going on in my life, my scrapping mojo ran away. I called and called, but couldn't find my mojo! I would pull out supplies with ideas floating about in my brain...assure that I would create something, anything....but then I'd sit and stare at those same supplies sitting on my desk for hours...Sure, I've done some little projects; like making ATCs and a few page layouts for swapping over at Scraps of Color, but other than that...nada, nothing, nil, zip, zero...get the picture?!
I guess I just needed a little bit of inspiration to get mojo to come home. So I started hopping around different blogs, generally surfing the web and going through picture galleries. Of course, that's what I should have done a month ago! Mojo finally came home...
So....Over at SOC there's a group of scrappers and card makers that enjoy using a wonderful artist's digital images. The artist's name is Robert Jackson. You really have to check him out. I love the fact that his images depict people that look like me; which is hard to find. Sure, you can use crayons, colored pencils and Copics to color an image "brown, cocoa, or tan," but the features still don't look like "us." HIS DO! Thank you Mr. Jackson! The latest challenge was to use one of his images in a project using the colors purple, pink and white. The image that I chose to use is called Madame. And this is what I came up with. (I haven't added a sentiment, because as usual I'm not sure to whom it will go).
Here it is,
I wanted to give Madam's clothing some texture, so instead of just coloring it, I added fuzzy yarn. And added a small pink pearl to her hat. The decorative edges already added some pop to the card, and so I didn't bother to add ribbon.

Tim Holtz's Tags 2012
Hello fellow scrappy people!
I just wanted to share a pic of the tag for May:
Supplies used: stamped image, Stampin' Up! Early Expresso, Ink It Up Chocolate Brown, I Am Roses, Glossy Accents, handmade stick pin, spool die cut, and twine
I think it turned out well, even though I didn't use the tissue paper technique with the stamping.
I look forward to the monthly challenge of re-creating his tags. Sometimes, I have to admit though, that I don't follow his technique and just do my own thing...(shhh, sometimes it's because I don't have the supplies and other times, I'm just being lazy and think that I can do it a different way!) But isn't that the whole idea?
Thanks for stopping by - I hope to see you here soon!
Renee

Lil PixieGurl
Hi fellow blogsters:
Just wanted to take a moment to post a little card that I recently made. I can't say where I got the image (I think it was used in a Friday Nite Challenge over at Scraps of Color), but she sure is ca-ute! I wanted to make a card that was not cluttered; so as not to take away from the image itself. So I only added a few flowers and a sentiment.
Supplies used: white GeorgiaPacific cardstock as the card base, DCWV Luxury Stack, I am Roses Gardenias, Copic and Elementz markers and white flat-back pearls.
Be sure to stop by again and leave comments. I'd like to hear from you!
Until next time,
Hugs+Kisses

Robert Jackson Digital Expressions Challenge: Pt 2
Hello out there in BlogLand!
This is the second card created for this week's challenge (Anything Goes; except use yellow, peach and brown in your design) at RJDE:
Supplies used: white card stock, RAKd Artistic Trading Card courtesy of Miss Sharon S., RJ Little Skater Dude image, Copic and Bic markers
.
I really like trying to keep up with the challenges on other blog sites. It gives me practice, practice, practice! Plus, like I've said before, it make me wanna keep up with my own litle blog. And someday, when I 'grow'up....I might reach 100 followers! (Smile)
Hopefully, this gives you some inspiration to do some leisurely blog-hopping. And you'll make your way over to the new Robert Jackson site. The design team is really working hard to make it a great place and I, for one, am having fun!
Ta-ta for now

RJDE Anything Goes Challenge
Hi good scrappy people:
There's another crafty challenge over at ROBERT JACKSON DIGITAL EXPRESSIONS. It's their "Anything Goes" Challenge. You can now enter three, yes I said three, projects now. So that gives you more chances to win some wonderful images from Robert Jackson and other scrappy goodies. WhooooHooo! This is one (yeah, I'm hoping to make a few more projects before the deadline) that I completed first:
I haven't added a sentiment yet. That'll come later, when I decide who I'm giving it to.
Supplies used: DCWV yellow cardstock, Best Occasions tiny polka-dotribbon, Bo Bunny FlutterButter, Delilah & Alissa patterned paper collection and Copic markers
To make it easier on myself for this challenge, I've decided to try to do projects in the colors suggested for baby, woman and maybe a man or boy....No real ideas on designs yet though.
Stay tuned...
Hugs+Kisses
