Family Matters Challenge

Hey there all - Happy Tuesday! One day closer to Friday. Anyhow, there's another challenge at http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/. This challenge is considered CAS; which means Clean and Simple. No muss, no fuss designs.
The image is a Robert Jackson digital image called My Daddy. I think it's such a sweet image....don't you agree? Materials: Copic markers, patterned paper is from the Making Memories Just Chillin' stack, bubble stickers are from JoAnn ScrapEssential, and white card base is GeorgiaPacific cardstock. I tell you...that design team at RJDE is keeping me busy! And I realized tonight, that it's a really good way for me to blog more often. So again DT...kudos to you for all of your inspiration! Hope to see you back here soon.... Hugs+Kisses Renee

Afro-centric Paintstick Swap at Scraps of Color

A couple of months ago, there was a paintstick swap over at Scraps of Color. This was an extremely fun, fun, fun swap. Just the way I like it: one partner, a due date and done! This is the stick that my partner made for me. I told her to surprise me with colors and whatever else she chose for me. Audrey, my swap partner did a fantastic job! And I think it's absolutely bea-u-ti-ful! It now has a spot on the wall in my dining room. That way, I pass it every time I'm on my way to the kitchen for Pepsi! Haha.

Anything Goes With a Twist...Show Me Your Critter!

There's a challenge going on over at http://tammyscrapincorner.blogspot.com/. Anything goes....but the "twist" is to use a critter in your project. And this is the project that I'm entering. I'm quite happy with how it turned out, considering that I used scraps. I'm learning not to hold on too many pieces of paper (it just takes up too much room; which I don't have a lot of). Anyone who knows me, knows that this takes me out of my comfort zone...I really don't make many projects with animals (other than butterflies!); so I'm growing!! WhooooHoo!! And I have to admit, it was fun.

Flower Power!

What girl doesn't like flowers? If I gave a number, I'd bet there were only a few that really didn't care much about them. But me? I love flowers. Real ones. Faux ones. Fabric ones. Plastic ones. All kinds. My mom loved plants and flowers and it rubbed off on me. I'm always trying my hand at creating them from all types of materials. It's like everything else that's crafty....it's challenging and fun. Try it some time. See what you come up with. I have to admit though...some of my mistakes, turn out to be my favorite projects!

There's a new blog in town!

http://jacksonsdigitalexpressions.blogspot.com/ . Yup, it's new. And it's absolutely fabulous! The design team is in high gear and they are keeping us busy. The first thing to get us into the mix was to do a blog hop. This is the entry that I did using one of Robert's fantastic images.
The image was colored using Copic and Bic markers, patterned paper is from the DCWV Rock Star mat stack, and GeorgiaPacific cardstock. So, take a moment to stop on over at the new site. You won't be sorry! Ta-ta for now, Renee
