I'm so excited! And just wanted to share a post and pictures of my winnings received from Fiona J. all the way from the U.K.!
You can find her videos at
Fiona is part of the YouTube crafting community and graciously shares her knowledge and love of the arts. At any time, you can find a video at YouTube University - at least that's what I call it - to learn just about anything crafty. My first stop? Jennings644. From handmade flowers to books created from doilies to butterflies made from glue; from mixed media pieces of art to building a witches lair and sewing, I think Fiona has done it and more. And while Fiona is teaching us a new technique, she most certainly makes me laugh out loud! Always a good thing after a hard day's work right? And although I've been crafting for many, many years, I've learned new and different things and new and different uses for things. She does inspire me when my mojo goes on vacation!
Ok, I could go on and on, but I won't. LOL....
Anyway, Fiona has graciously welcomed me into her community and I've joined in whatever fun she has happening on several occasions. Although I didn't guess correctly for one contest, she decided to choose a winner from among those that entered anyway. Yay me!!!
These are my winnings
a bounty of paper flowers
these lovely foam roses
a blingy photo frame
a huge bag of bling - which will be great for my handmade flowers
these cute wooden birds
almost 2 feet of pearl heart ribbon (very pretty...I can see a project forming in my brain!)
laces, appliques, and ribbons
had to show a close up of the appliques - soooo pretty!
not really sure what this is -LOL- but I think it's chunky foil
I'm thinking that it will create great texture on a mixed media piece
And the mixed media canvas piece that Fiona created in a video
I totally totally adore this image!
just look at the depth of this canvas
so many textures
Of course, these pictures don't do the real piece any justice. But it is such a lovely coppery color with hints of other colors, shine and sparkle.
Ok, time to call it a night....I have to trudge through the blast of snow that's supposed to come through town tomorrow...going to need all of the energy that I can get!
Thank you Fiona. I'm looking forward to putting all of this to crafty use!
Until next time,
