Marks Finest / Inspiration Challenge #41

Hi folks:

Todays challenge at Marks Finest Papers
http://mfpspeedytv.ning.com/page/inspiration-challenge-41-glamper-fun-12-12-2013

Have you heard of the new "Glamper" craze?   "Glampers" are vintage travel travelers/campers that people are getting and giving them a new look.

This sounds very much like something that I would love to do when I retire.  It definitely wouldn't be a year-round-live-in-all-the-time home, but it would certainly make a nice little retreat.  I remember that my aunt, who resided in Fayetteville had one on her property that she used for her sewing room.  It was painted blue and had little white shutters and flower boxes on both sides of the stairs that she had built.  We never were allowed to play in it though.  My aunt was very very serious about her sewing! LOL.

I begin thinking about what I could do to create a project  based on the pictures given for inspiration.  But  the only thing that stayed in my mind while searching through my stash was the sound of birds in the trees and listening to the grass grow under my feet. LOL.  Yup, I'm looking forward to a long, happy, relaxed, enjoyable retirement!

So this is what I came up with; a clean and simple card

I used a Martha Stewart stamp for the image and then stamped the sentiment onto a separate piece of layered card stock.  Both the image and sentiment were heat embossed using Inkadinkado powder.

I've got to remember to search around for a small camper so that I can eventually "glam" it up when I retire!  Ahhhh, something to look forward to...

Until next time

Renee, it was fun hearing about your Aunt's sewing retreat. I can almost see her blue glamper with the shutters and flower boxes. It sounds so cute. I love how you got your inspiration for this lovely card. I was drawn to the colors of the same inspiration picture that you used. Thanks, so much for joining us for the Speedy TV Inspiration challenge. I always look forward to seeing your cards. Have a great day.
